With the August 20 release date for Stranglehold rapidly approaching, Midway has announced the minimum PC system requirements to run the title on their forum. Those of you PC gamers expecting to grab a copy of Stranglehold, prepare for shock and awe:

Windows XP SP2 / VISTA (Games for Windows compliant)
Dual Core Processor
2 Gigs of Ram
Nvidia 7800 or higher / ATI x1300 or higher
Disk space: 15 gigs

With these specs, PC gamers who planned to purchase Stranglehold may have to think twice or upgrade.
Personally I wouldnâ€™t buy Stranglehold for the PC with these stats. If these are truly the minimum requirements, I shudder to think of what the recommended PC system requirements are. It would be cheaper to buy an Xbox 360 than upgrade even one of my systems to meet just these minimum requirements.

use winrar to unpack

right click on one of the .001 and "open with" winrar
use deamontools to mount unpacked images

it should autoplay
part way it will ask for the "disk 10"
which is a subfolder on the second disk. point to it and ok
when finished installing copy the retail-stranglehold.exe from the fairlight directory on the second image to the /programs files/midway/stranglehold/binaries directory. overwrite (back up original first)
BOOM. have fun

It works for me, just do what ch1llboy sa **** 3 comments above and make sure you have the latest driver for your video cards.I have the 163 nvidia driver from www.nvidia.com. My PC: amd athlon x2 dual core 6000+ 3000 Ghz, 2gb ram 800 mhz, BFG nvidia 8600gts 256 mb, 320 hdd seagate. the game works perfect:)

I Liked the game, works fine, just to much disk space, 12 gig of download, 12 gig of unpacking, 12 gig of installing. The game works fine though with a crack from www .gamecopyworld. com. So you can delete all your files after installing the crack that is if your computer is in need of space. Otherwise keep seeding.

-my processor is 2,6GHz single core
-i only have 1gb memory
-my graphics card is 256mb 7600 GT

and i haven't had any probs with the game.. so if you have at least that it should work for you also...

to get it work for nVidia card, download the beta version of the driver.
