I couldn't get this to work. One thing though, it installed .NET framework right before Vegas installed. Could that be it?

OK, let me explain something. Keygens get reported as malicious sometimes (more likely in crap like McAfee). This is OK. More importantly, stop using terrible software that was bundled on your Dell. And maybe research before you speak. And thank you uploader.

i know the problem. the installer is build 217, but the authentication code in the keygen is for build 179. i dont know if there is any difference.

Just installed this and works fine, no virus issues at all. As already stated, right click the keygen and select run as administrator if you're using Vista. I followed the steps in the readme and it works like a charm.

Works like a charm. Just make sure you have the keygen running while it's installing and it will work just fine. Patch the program AFTER you have installed the vegas program. Enter false info in the fields. I gave the white house address.

It does work, as long as you follow this steps:

1.- Install (vegaspro80b_enu.exe)
2.- Execute keygen and select Vegas Pro 8.0a (Build 179), then click on "Patch".
3.- Select Sony Vegas installation directory, example C:Program FilesSony, and click on OK, neccesary files will be patched.
4.- Open Sony Vegas and do the rest, don't forget to select "Register from another computer"

For VISTA32 Users:
If your getting "Sony Vegas has stopped working" error...delete or move the aviplug folder located in:

C:Program FilesSonyVegas Pro 8.0FileIO Plug-Ins

it should fix the problem and start up correctly. Workd for me.

Para que el KEYGEN funcione en windows vista tenes que abrirlo con el boton derecho, "Ejecutar como Administrador".
Te patchea los archivos y listo.
Segui los pasos que te vienen en el txt.

Ok, I am no kid been doing this for a while too! just vista confuses the **** out of me, I get an error occured while patching the file? I am logged in as admin !!! and I have read and watched everything over and over and still the same prob on 2 different vista PC's now . lol.
I am sure it works !! but what the **** am I doing wrong? Trust me I am doing everything correct. Is it possible I have to have Keygen loaded b4 installing the software and not loading it after as it says? Please help...

yeah it all works perfectly ... but i made a movie to put it on youtube. So i need to render it. But if i render it i onley get the text and sound. I dont get the actual video's that i have put it. Its just a black screen. Could some1 give me a tip or help me with this. Because i tr **** downloading other versions etc etc but dosent work :( i got a feeling that i need to instal the media manager too. But it gives a error that it cant be installed :( plz someone help me with this ;) ow yeah. the actual problem is that it say: Media is offline. and when i start the program it ses i dont got all rights or something :S soooooo...........

When I'm trying to run the vegaspro80b_enu application i get the message:

Unable to write to the temp directory in C:UsersnameAppDataLocalTemp.

okay i am running windows 7 as well here is a tutorial on how to install it:

after downloading go to the folder and install it then after installing go to the keygen,
right click and click on run as administrator then you click on patch click on the C:/ProgramFiles/Sony/Sony Vegas/ folder and then click okay it will patch then you start up vegas pro and then enter in the serial click next follow the prompts untill it says to enter a verification code then you copy the one under the serial and paste it wait untill it starts up and then you have it done
