When I save my sim, the game shuts down and doesn't actually save my game. Does anyone else have the same problem?

diablosbomb - Use Windows Firewall to block incoming/outcoming connections. This happens to you also Rawrr because you didnt block it.

That or just unplug your ethernet cable from your PC to your router.

Jaws_Victim : u just need to open the first rar file :"rld-sim3.00" and extract the rld-sim3.iso in the rar to any folder you like ( or place) and WinRAR does the rest.

Awesome! Now I have to find a way to install the ISO. None of my DVD's are big enough...I downloaded a trial of Daemon and I'm trying to figure out how to install the game on it.

Tried repairing with winrar - no go. Tried checking with an SFV checker to see which were corrupted, it told me everything was fine. Tried extracting while ignoring the corrupt files, and when it finished it didn't show up anywhere.

I got it. I just didn't follow the darn directions, which were to copy the cracked part into the main directory. Now it's playing perfectly.

Your rar files should look like this : rld-sim3.00, rld-sim3.01 ETC.

you need to open the first rar file and exstract the .iso in it and than mount/burn the iso and after that Follow the NFO's instructions (open the reloaded.nfo with wordpad !)

@"revilo-": i think that you dind't block the sims 3 .exe with your firewall
so you should do that or the game keeps shutting down

I'm having trouble copying TS3.exe from the crack directory to the game/bin directory... it says there's not enough space on Sims3 and I need an extra 23Mbs to copy it over. What do I do?

Edit: Nevermind! Figured it out! I stupidly tried to move it from one folder to another in the DVD itself until I realized I was supposed to move it into Program Files/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Game/Bin. YAY NOW I'M READY TO PLAY.

if your dl speed is low, and you are behind a router or something, switch to a static ip rather than a dynamic ip, and forward the for torrents used port to your ip on the router

in there there is a 8KB file thats the Keygen
and there is a 29MB file thats the .exe you need to copy to

C:/ is your Hard disk where you have installed it :)

ip and dns should be "automatically", switch to a user-provided ip, and dns servers
fill em in and you have a dynamic ip
now go to the router forward your uTorrent port to your internal (now also static) IP
make sure you set uTorrent to not use a different port everytime it starts

This game looks good, and plays smoother that sims 2 did on my computer.
To a few of the people that are have a few problems.
this is what did..
1. downloaded game files
2. unrar with winrar
3. used winrar to open the .iso file.
4. put all files in the .iso in a new folder called "The Sims 3"
5. deleted the .iso and .rar files
6. clicked "autorun.exe" in the new folder called "The Sims 3"
7. used the serial gen in the "crack" folder.
8. installed game, unchecked "install sims downloader" and "run game".
9. copy the "cracked" sims.exe to the proper folder.
10. ran game, pla **** game.

now the reason that I used winrar to open the .ISO file is because I don't have a dual layer burner, and this way I can save the new folder that I made "The Sims 3" to a usb hard drive for future use.

I didn't get the popup about the game wanting to connect to the internet, so my thinking is that when i didn't install the "sims downloader" that must have something to do with it.

Yep, everything is working perfectly. Question: How do we download the new neighborhood? It says you have to register to get the new neighborhood and then you can download it. Anyone have it?

When downloading music it is very reliable, but I'm a little afraid it is going to take years when downloading the Sims 3! I seem to have some graphic problems with the game. Stairs, fences, and some of the "flat" flowers cause severe graphical issues...they look EXTREMELY stretched/scrambled. Would reinstalling the game fix this or am I **** ed?

I installed the game correctly and it looks promising, when i load, i blocked the connection to both loader and ts3.exe, and it then changes the color scheme to vista basic, and has the "loading" mouse on a 800x600 black screen. this lasts for about 5 seconds, then it just closes and doesn't go further.

i am running vista HP (64bit).

1) do NOT extract an iso file. simply mount it (Daemon tools has s **** integration so you only have to click on the .iso file, and its mounted). You install it without a disk because the .iso IS the disk. with DT you let windows think the .iso is a disk.
2) seeding is "a peer that has a complete copy of a torrent and still offers it for upload"

and when you open the first rar :"rld-sim3.00 (someting like that)There's An ISO in the RAR file
and That ISO you need to extract to where you like
and after that DON'T Extract theISO but MOUNT it With Daemon tools or an other mounting tool

to block a program using Windows Firewall If found This

Click Start>Control Panel > Security > Windows Firewall > Change Settings, and click Continue if prompted by UAC [Windows Vista].

2. Click on the Advanced tab.

3. Check the applications that you want to unblock and Uncheck the applications that you want to block.

Unblocked the things from the firewall, copied the crack and everything, but every time I get into the game it slows down and then shuts off my computer.

yay it works!! spent all night trying to figure out how to make it work or see wat i did wrong. i kept using the origanal launcher and not the one that came with the crack. i deleted the original and cliked on the one from crak. game started immedietly. im so happy. did u know food in the fridge can spiol in the game?

Mine is working now! All I did wrong apparently was using the wrong launcher. Go to Bin and then press that launcher, it should start immediatly...

There is something strange....When I right-click on the launcher and oic run as... It there is a window that sais that the launcher can not start while an update is being made....I'm not updating anythin...

did you copy the crack "TS3.exe" from the DVd to
X/ program files /Electronic Arts /The Sims 3 /Game /bin
and overwrited the existing file in that folder

after that you need to block the sims with your firewall
and when you have done that start "The sims 3" with the icon on ur Desktop
PS : X = the drive where you have isntalled "The Sims 3"

when you have mount/burnt the ISO
than TS3.exe needs to be on the DVD in the "crack" folder (it's 29,064kb or 29MB)

1) overwrite existing TS3.exe file with the crack(TS3.exe)on the DVD
2) block the sims with your firewall
this is how you need to do that Using Windows Firewall
but maybe your Anti-Virus software has a firewall too(i prefer to use that)

block a program using Windows Firewall:
Click Start>Control Panel > Security > Windows Firewall > Change Settings, and click Continue if prompted by UAC [Windows Vista].

2. Click on the Advanced tab.

3. Check the applications that you want to unblock and Uncheck the applications that you want to block.

Hi! I've downloaded the game, extracted the iso, mounted it with DaemonTools, and the installation starts; I accept everything, and it gets to the "Enter Key" screen. I use the keygen to get one, copy it to the installation window... And it closes. It doesn't give me an error message, it just closes down. I've tried a million times, and I've downloaded the file twice... Do you have any idea what could be wrong? I'm on Vista 32. Thanks :)

Ok I'm having trouble installing this to begin with.
I downloaded the file, opened it with WinZip. Then burned it to a dual layer dvd. When I get it to install, it gets stuck while installing and gives me this message that the file does not match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup, may be corrupted. Contact your software vendor. Then I have the option to abort, retry or ignore. Retry and Ignore don't work. It keeps dinging and putting up the error again.



I took the "Can I Run It?" test and completely passed no problem. I'm using Windows Vista 64 bit.

The reason your downloads are slow is because it's only been recently released, meaning theres probably 10-1 ratio, 10 being leechers and 1 being seeders. The speeds you guys are getting now are probably the best you can get or else you need to configure your router or utorrent. Don't forget to seed, it will make everyones life a lot easier! And yes it is 100% real

I'm disappointed in this game. It's almost exactly like the Sims 2, except the families all grow at the same pace and seem to act with some kind of (limited) free will. My biggest problem? If you leave a family alone and focus on another, you have no idea where the children of that other family end up. They just move out and you have to search house by house to find them. All kinds of problems. There aren't any real rewards for making your sims the top of businesses, and the gameplay is exactly the same as the previous game, except easier.

Like Spore before it, the Sims 3 is a fairly underwhelming experience. No doubt it will be expanded into something great with expansion packs.

I'm having trouble installing the game. When the process reaches the installment of the file FullBuild1.package, it takes a long time for it to continue and it stops there. I tried waiting 1 day but then it's still not moving. Prior files were successfully installed, that means I only installed half of the game.

Anyone knows the mastermind behind this? Could it be my video card?

It is REAL, it works 100% fine, did not need to block anything, just works perfectly...graphic options had to be edited in-game though, cuz they were too low lol. And download lasted 2 days.

Well! its a great download & i followed almost all instructions, but initially it had installed fine without problem, but i realized i had not mounted it with daemon, so i uninstalled it and tried to extract the iso package but it did not happen, after 70% of extraction to a folder it said disk is full, but the disk had much space. i tried again & the file opens with the cracks and autorun in a separate winrar folder and i can use the autorun from there, but the game, even after cracking, is not starting from the launcher & i could not find the extracted iso file anywhere in my computer to mount it

when the game works it really works smoothly and all *it wouldnt work that way unless the system req were not proper... so there's no problem about the requirements, I'm sure of it...*
but it's like a curse... I send my sim to bed and then the game starts running at speed 3 as usual... when it's 1.11 am the game freezes and the screen goes black... can't return to windows or do anything and I need to turn off the computer manually... it's just what happened for the last 2 times... before that I was running the game normally and then while coming out of the theatre or after the lessons, basically while doing something in the town after playing about 10-15 min it went black...

installing the game is the easiest thing on earth
you download the torrent. you go to the directory where the files are saved after the torrent has completed downloading. you see rld-sim3.r00 till rld-sim3.r51 and a rld-sim3.rar
rightclick on one of the files. DOESNT MATTER which one, as long as the character behind the dot is a R (know what, just rightclick on the .rar)
Click on Winrar > Extract Here
your pc should be busy for a while extracting the files.
AFTER that there has appeared a file named rld-sim3.iso
thats great.
here comes the hard part.
doubleclick on the .iso if you have Daemontools
if the iso opens with another program like winrar or poweriso, integrate daemon tools into the windows s **** .
here's how to manually integrate it to the windows s **** (assuming that install dir is C:/program files/daemon tools lite/; if you installed it elsewhere, change the path in the .reg file)
place everything between the ##'s in a notepad file (something.txt) (ps the page doesnt support backslahses, so open the .txt with notepad, press ctrl+h, press "/", "tab", the symbol of a backslash, enter, ctrl+s) and rename it to something.reg. doubleclick something.reg then yes.
if it opens with daemon tools: go to "computer" then hit the virtual drive, called SIMS3 (with the simslogo)

The game is working great only a little slow. i have all the necessary system requirements except that i have 512 mb ram, so its supposed to be slow.

Siminator, just read the posts between all those comments which are about how to extract and install the game. Plenty, right? If people keep asking about it, they just don't read the comments made before, because it have been explained over and over again, and trust me, its really easy, but kinda annoying when people keep asking about it over and over again.
Just follow the instructions, and youll be fine. It's not that hard.

Too bad the game isn't as awesome as expected. It's a lot faster moving than the Sims 2 (yes I know you can change that setting), and if you are determined to make the best for your Sim (career wise) there wont be much "play time" around the neighborhood. And to be honest, the "traits" that have been hyped...aren't that =O. You barely notice a difference in the different Sims, or your own sim.

Hey, sorry if I sound like a noob, but I've never done this before. I dl'ed the .iso and ran the installer, it seems to be going fine, but then during the install it keeps saying that files are not matching what is in the setup.cab file and that it may be corrupted. I keep hitting ignore because otherwise it cancels the install, but I've probably done this over 100 times and its still keeps popping up with the error.

Any ideas??

I tried copy and paste the files on the virtual hard drive to my desktop and install it through there but same problem

Okay, I hit the ignore button a LOT of times until it reached installing the files in C:...The Sims 3GameDataSharedPackages looking at the size of the files, it seems that the files are important to the Game but it still gives the same error.

well I got it to install by clicking ignore half a million times, but now it keeps asking me to give the registration code, and the key code I used to install does not work for this, so I'm sure it has something to do with the crack .exe, but I need to find one that works on a 64-bit system.....sigh lol

So now I can watch the intro, and thats it, the loading screen (or what should be) is mostly blank, the only button that can be pressed takes me to an almost entirely black screen, so wtf???, maybe I'll have to try and re-dl the .iso

Okay, I think I know the solution to the CRC problems...if you encounter a CRC error during setup, try extract the RAR and try again and wait till it's really done extracting. That's what I did and now the Sims 3 is working perfectly and no bugs encountered so far.

ok i downloaded the sims3 i installed it on my computer and extract it and burned it to an iso on a doublelayer dvd when it asked for code during installation i put GJ99-VX9Z-P4WC-FP4U-GRLD which was one of the cracks given ABOVE^^^^ ok now i click the sims 3 and i click the play button and it says

seems like you DIDNT apply the crack which is necessary for playing the game. and ps start TS3.exe not a Installermade shortcut oR the launcher.exe
and also... dont waste your dvd's, especially your DL dvd's on some game which even ain't the rite version of it...

The RLD-version is the beta-version and CANNOT be patched. Thus you wasted a doublelayer dvd. if you want it patched, go download the Razor1911 version, which is the original retail version (there's a screenshot to prove it within the WARG-patch [just search torrentz.com]).
it can be patched and the crack is working great. for crack: just search torrentz.com (dl a rzr1911 crack)

my concern here is the sim3 installation and even though i extracted the iso files using winrar and directly click on the "Sim3Setup.exe", same thing is happening -- an microsoft.net framework screen is flashing...

open up taskmanager (windowskey+r, taskmgr.exe, enter) en look for autorunned files, like ssm.exe, then end those processes (if you're sure they're sims3 files), then run setup and if it wont work dont reboot, just end process explorer.exe and start new task "explorer"

yes, your card is not good enough
your card does not support shader model 2.0
for example both my GF 8800GT's do support shader model 4.0 (4.0 > 2.0 so that will work [it does])
the radeon x1300 does support shader model 3.0 (will do as well)
even my laptop with its intel gma x3100 supports shader model 2.0 (does not mean it can render it without lagg, though)

so as sims3 suggests, you should get a new videocard, cuz if it doesnt support shader model 2.0 it GOTTA be old or not designed to render games (even if your card would support it, i doubt it wont lagg)

so spend a few bucks on a new videocard
say &euro; 50,- for a radeon hd4650 or GF 9500gt/8600gt

make sure your pc can handle the new card

at 98% almost ready to install,this is the first game i have down load off the net.it it poss that someone could explain how,in simple terms.iv got daemon tools.

download it and install it. at some point it asks to restart. do it.
after restarting, continue installing it. next to the time (system tray) an icon will appear (a red lighting bolt) rightclick it. hover over the most upper option, and another menu will prompt. change the amount of virtual drives to one or more.

then go to one of my other posts for further explanation. search this page for [searchphrase].
that will solve your problems.
check my other posts as well as they will answer a lot of your questions

you need to apply the crack. in the virtual drive, look for a map called "crack"
there is a file called TS3.exe. copy it and paste it in %sims3installdir%/bin/
if that crack dont work that great, try the razor1911 crack (http://www.torrentz.com/9302c9190432d83cbab36db058c0ac1a87a8a850)
copy that TS3.exe to %sims3installdir%/bin/, like the other crack

because i have dealth with this error many times on MSN

the possible triggers for this error could be

1)you haven't blocked the sims 3 with you firewall
2)you didn't copy the crack properly

when you still get the message
plz download Razor1911's copy because that one is working
(i've downloaded it and it's still working great without errors)

1.Just unpack the downloaded file.
2.Copy Riverview.world from the InstalledWorlds map.
3.Open X:Program Files Electronic Arts The Sims 3 GameData Shared NonPackaged Worlds. (X is your drive)
4.Paste Riverview.world here.
5.Start the game.
6.Choose new game and there it is.

try this method
next to the time in the system tray there's a red lightning bolt icon. RIGHTclick on it.
Click options, then s **** integration
hit select everything, and check the checkbox under the button as well (so all checkboxes are checked). then hit ok. now that will do. the setup should autorun now.
if not, doubleclick the iso and goto My Computer. Voila, there it is, the drive with the green diamond. doubleclick it.

If you really cant get the iso to act like a virtual disc, you can always extract it...

down load crack,reinstall game but sure what to do with it.were is the installdir bin.

OPEN the virtual dvd-drive and open the "crack" folder (so now you're in D:Crack, assuming D is your virtual dvd-drive
COPY TS3.exe, and goto the directory where you installed sims3, open the "Bin" directory. PASTE here, and overwrite

it hasn't got any errors and it's easy to install

and with Razor you can install patches en expansions(riverview, clothes etc.)

I haven't been able to get to that step. I can't find a program to run the iso. Power iso doesn't want to install. I ahve wine and I'm sure that works just fine but it's the iso program that is holding me up.

You see, my friend had handed over these links and downloads and such for me so I could stop whinning about not being able to afford the game...well, he ended up leaving for the weekend, so he can't guide me through the process...I pretty much understand it, by the steps listed previously, but when Riahc3 says to, "Copy over the cracked content from the /Crack dir on the DVD to
'installdirGameBin'." Is that the folder that says "crack." Or is that the whole shabang right there to copy over?

you download and install uTorrent (u as micro)
then download the torrent from one of the listed sites
the file will be opened with uTorrent and (depending on your options) the download automatically starts or you have to enter a directory where to save it.

It works great for me and I'm running Vista. I tried it on my XP and I eventually got it to work, but I don't suggest using it on XP. Try Daemon if you're running an XP.

Oh, and everybody talking about cheats listen up por favor...

You can use almost the same cheat as you could in the Sims 2. That is, holding down Ctrl, Shift, and C to open the cheatbox, and then typing in "testingcheatsenabled true" and then hold down shift and click on the mailbox. If you're trying it on the Sims 2, do "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" and then hold shift and click on the mailbox, et cetera...

OR you can always just hold down Ctrl, Shift, and C and then type in 'help' and check out the cheats they have listed. Type in 'motherlode' for 50,000 simoleons.

I can't run the game because it connect online and I know that I must block it with the firewall (despite not knowing how with windows firewall, the game doesn't even appear in the list of exceptions). So I disconnected my PC from the and tried to run the game but when I do that the game tells me that I must connect my PC to the web in order to be verified for updates and I have no way to play it without doing that :/ any suggestions? Hey, ive installed Sims 3, admitted not on the best laptop in the world, but i think it has nothing to do with that... When i press play, it says insert the disk. Extract files from archive first, then extract "NS-SIMS3_DC-poseden.7z" to anywhere. You can mount image by double clicking "NS-SIMS3_DC-poseden.mds".

Then run the sims 3 without cracks or anything. The image will work on all Sims 3 versions (1.4...) until the game will be protected for this image :)
