why does it always have to be parts? :(

Have parts it's not a problem, just "unite it" with total commander, and mount with daemon tools ( if it an iso "picture file". (Sorry, but I don't know English :( just weakly)

LeXuS it is much quicker as when people are seeding it your computer need only seed one part so cuts down on bandwidth and shud make it download faster, in theory. All you have to do is open the 1st file with winrar and it will pick up the other files for ya, then just open up the iso with daemon tools.

And Urazzz the release is RELOADED's do you really need to ask if it is working? lol

I mount the .iso via DT lite, and when i hit play it starts to load, ive checked my task manager processes tab and i actually see shift.exe come up, but also regsrv32.exe come up and then 2-3 seconds later they both disappear. what could be the problem?

what are your pc specs? running OS? Service pack? firewall? antivirus? overclocked? newest drivers for your hardware? whats your direct X version? do you use third party software (trainers eg)?

And ps both methods work for me. very nice.
and for people who want to know impressions: it reminded me to prostreet and GRID, its better than prostreet, and much worse than GRID, but some of you will like it.
After 4 or 5 races you'll race on almost exactly the same track as one of the tracks in GRID.

All drivers are up to date, I just got finished updating everything about a week before I DL'd the game. I've also tried rolling back my display drivers just in case the fresh ones were affecting launch.. no luck.
the only software I'm using while attempting to play the game is DT Lite, and the one or two times I tried using Y.A.S.U cloaking program with the above mentioned mini image you suggested.when i use that combo I get an error message upon loading that says "Conflict with software emulation device".

Mcafee security suite, I've tried with it(firewall and A.V.) turned completely off,on,1 off,1 on, and vice-versa.

Was crashing on loading test lap, run the Shift.exe as Win 98 compatablity. Fixed the lockup for me , also run in windowed mode so if you lock up you can easily Ctrl-Alt-Delete, end the program, without having to restart your whole machine.

The Crack's not working for me. Windows XP SP3. Everytime I run the crack exe it says Error, etc etc. Anyone else experiencing that problem?

POSSIBLE CTD FIX! Read on:

For anyone who get a CTD the moment the test lap (first race) begins, and for those of us that crash like this every few races:

First:
- Get the patch #1 EA just released, which adds LAN play and MOUSE CONTROL for PC (oh god how can you forget a mouse support?). A patch #1 crack from RELOADED is also available:
(url removed) (crack only)

Now try this:

- Set Motion Blur in your graphics settings to HIGH and run some races to see if that helped (rumor says its bugged in lower settings).

If this didn't help:

- Turn your graphics settings to HIGH. ALL OF THEM (and say goodbye to your frame-rate lulz). RESTART the game so changes take effect. now try playing again and see if this helped. again, reports say that low settings are bugged (shadows or motion blur are the main suspects).

I used to CTD every 3-4 races in a random manner, so started to play with the game settings and now on HIGH settings no CTD whatsoever.

I hope this helps and you can play this great game (yes, i pla **** them all and its a good game imo).

I have just downloaded the nfs shift i started the game it starts fine and started carrier mode demo comes then we have to drive now the problem starts my screen goes black only map and speed meter is visible everything is black. In graphics i raised all the option to high still dosent work.

I pla **** this game for 1 race and as a NFS fan, loving NFSU2 and NFSMW, this game really dissapoints... It tries to have a little realism, however, it is poorely designed.. Want a real racing game? Play GRID...

After this playing GRID, I can't play NFS anymore, as it pales in comparison.

Either call us jackasses or help us. I have the same problem as countless others. My screen will go black and stay black at the beginning of startup and unless i cntrl alt delete, exit program, and restart it just will not work. I have tried countless cracks patches solutions. NOTHING is working. Can someone please help me and the other guys. This is becoming really annoying.
Also game freezes at loading screen at random times. I dont think thats related tot he black startup screen though.

Granted this game was free so i am grateful. Really i am. Though c'mon reloaded. All of your releases are top notch. This one just doesn't seem to follow suit. Thanks again

1- Use winrar to extract files to ONE ISO File ( extract from rld-nfss.r00 )

2- mount image

3- install

4- right click on mounted image and click open . open crack folder and copy ALL of it in your game

directory (( ALL OF IT ))

5- it properly run now IF NOT it's your PC problem .

If you get a black screen at the start you probably haven't copied ALL FILES out of the Crack folder into the game directory. You need to copy not just Shift.exe but also rld.dll and rld.bin. Maybe that might work.

But it will just get you to the first lap of career mode until the game crashes which is the problem I'm having. grrr

This MAYBE has a pretty strange virus in it. Maybe. I pla **** it for about 3 hours, then went to sleep. When I woke up, started shift, but it kept minimizing itself, so I couldnt play.
