Anybody tried to crack this thing using the info supplied by Murlok? I downloaded the file but I think it will only become clear if you try it out, is this the case?

And, this thing where you add the -steam stuff to the shortcut, it doesn't work for me, is that vista related?

you need a couple of gcf files per game so i would suggest yust download each game seperatly

i have the oringal half-life 2 with steam..if I will install this orange box, steam will detect?

1. Make a folder on your desktop and name it "OB"
2. Extract BOTH discs into your newly-made "OB" folder
3. Download AlluNeed.zip from: http://filebeam.com/b5c18029d79f49492412be1b2776fb7d

5. Extract "TOB.bat" into your "OB" folder

the game worked but only TM doesnt want to start it says that a gameinfo.txt is missing, did anybody have this problem too?

Hey murlok I have tried all the steps...and even redo it 4 times...but I ended up only able to run HL2, but it's AI disabled and for the others I would reach the loading screen and it pops out and says that the program needs to be terminated am I missing anything?? anyone else having same problem as me?

i resolved something if you want to play the other games, copy the client.dll and server.dll (2 dll) from hl2 folder (..\Games\OrangeBox\hl2\bin) to other folders (tf, ep2, episodic)(replace the old ones) it will make the other games to work. It worked for me but still i cant resolve the problem with the AI. SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

by the way the 2 dlls can be found in the bin folder... so replace the other client and server dlls int he rest of the bin folders, of course after you install the game using the steps provided by murlok and the portal has no bin folder only tf episodic and ep2

about ai I heard you only push enter= same as 0 on consols but don´t know look at my torrent at tpb the orange box now how it´s some guys fixed it or ?

type in google ai-disabled and u'll get ur answer. But i'm having pb at the very start of the game. In the first barb wired room with the 4 guards i can't get throught the passage. Freeman acts as if there was a wall of some sort. Any clue or anyone having the same pb?

could you please explain it in detail..sorry....I really have tried many times but somehow still stuck....dexter what do you mean by copying the dlls from hl2 folder do u copy the original ones or the ones replaced?

u only have ep2 folder in alluneed.zip how do extract it to their corresponding folder when there's only ep2 in it?? sorry for causing so much trouble

oh ya and my TF2 keeps on saying gameinfo.txt missing and I found out the reason I was unable to run ep1 ep2 and portal was because a file named vguimatsurface.dll crashed ?? any recommendation on helping me solving my problems??

I've found out the solution for vguimatsurface.dll crashes, to solve the problem with vguimatsurface.dll if anyone out there has it:

1. right click on your tf.bat , ep2.bat and portal.bat and choose to edit it.
2. It would then be opened by notepad and you would be a ble to see command like "hl2.exe -game ep2" in the notepad.
3. Change it into this "hl2.exe -fullscreen -width 1024 -height 768 -refresh 120 -game ep2" you can change the width and height accroding to ur screen size.
4. This should solve the vguimatsurface.dll problem at least it did for me.

And about team fortree, yes gameinfo.txt is missing which made us unable to launch the game, murdok would you kindly post a gameinfo.txt for team fortress for us?? thanks in advance.

I'm also having the SAME problem as rlacaze I enabled ai but I am also stuck at the very beginning of the room, Ai are walking around but unable to trigger the event which enable me to move on, I need help on this, anyone who solved it please let me know.

One more thing, this is a great torrent.

I've done all the things murlok said correctly. The games start, however there are tons of errors like "intro.vcd cannot be found" and so. Also "ai_disable 0" or "ai_disable 1" did not work for me, the AI is still disabled. I've lost my hope on this. There is another PC Orange Box which says it's non-steam, but there's only 60 seeders and no comments. I am now downloading that, but I'm curious whether it's a fake.

**** , so close! i got the game installed and all but when i try to run one of the games, i get the AI disabled (bug?).

ive tried:

-console method (actually, i cant get the console to appear) FIXED:had to add -console to .bat. Still havent gotten rid of ai disabled.
-creating the txt file method
-deleting ai disable "0" line in config file
-creating the F12 hotkey

got a question about this. Do If I edit the config file in the HL2 folder will it take effect in all other games? or do I have to edit each config file for every game in order for this to work?

The other orange box no steam its an unpacked game. Its works but with the ai disabled. Use google for that ai-disabled

You can also enable the console by checking "Enable Debugger Console" at Options -> Keyboard -> Advanced. And when you do, at the start of the game, open it and scroll up. Anybody also have lots of errors like "blabla not found", "can't find blabla"? I'll try again the AI disabled problem tonight and I've downloaded the other Orange Box. Will tell you if I manage it to work.

The other Orange Box(non-steam) torrent works fine. I've downloaded it, and pla **** all the games. The AI is not disabled, everything works fine. I expect some AI scripts not to work throughout the game, but nonetheless it is better then this one. FYI.

Hey Guys I Hear u guys are all frustrated cuz there aint no crack and murloks instructions are kinda complicated... no problem i am making a crack right now that will automate murloks instructions so that u can play the orange box in just 15 min. it gonna be made with visua C++ and it will be done in a few more weeks. once it comes out PLEASE SEED IT
