note to all: copy the entire downloaded folder to another location, because if you try to seed it after playing it and saving your progress, you may get errors like "incorrect file size".
OR
if you do play and seed later, make a backup of the original config/MasterServers.vdf and replace it when you seed. otherwise you'd get a file size error.

there is steamclient.dll in the steam folder and in the fear folder. which directory should it be.
but i tried both ways and it didnt work. but it has already worked since yesterday. i don' know what happened.

steam crack doesnt work with some computers, i dont know why, dont care!
download the crack, overwrite 3 dll files and copy Fear211Nosteam.exe in the fear2 folder and run it, not the fear2.exe no nead to rename. don use loader.exe

The problem that ive got is that i have done all above + added 2 .dll files that missed in the install folder (d3dx9_40.dll and x3daudio1_5.dll wich i downloaded from the internett and added directly in to the folder). I no longer get any errors but the game just charsh when i try to open it. I have installed the crack that kahlua_men talked about, but i just get the same result.
Anyone knows a solution for this?

- Downloaded and copied 2 .dll files (d3dx9_40.dll and x3daudio1_5.dll)
- Downloaded the crack (http://torrentz.com/e98927cf1827ae97e8d7c19bc0122aa7169d58be), copied it in the directory (without renaming)
Thats what all is said above. Now the next thing is something like you forgot to plug in your powercord :S
- Install the latest Direct X (is also in the game directory). Now it works for me...
Does anyone has a solution?
1. Download Fear 2
2. Open Steam
3. Create an account if u dont already have one
4. Go to Fear 2 Folder and open the loader.exe file. Its the one with the red icon.
5. Play game
