Depends on your player, I usually use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, and most player have function to auto-load subtitle.
Try renaming the subtitle (.srt files) as the same as the movie's name (.avi,mpg,etc)
For example as for this torrent,
Movie: "L Change the World[2008]DvDrip[Jap]-FXG.avi"
Subtitle: "L Change the World[Eng][Subs].srt"
Then Change the subtitle to "L Change the World[2008]DvDrip[Jap]-FXG.srt"

the trick for playing the movie with subtitles is rename either the avi file or the srt file in such a way that they should have the same name. this happens because most media player with auto-load subtitle search it with the same movie's or subtitle's name.
if everything fails, try using vlc player downloadable at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/. click open file. locate the avi file. then put check on "use subtitles file" and locate the srt file.

I don't know about the video quality, I haven't watched it yet.
If you want a near aspect ratio, get the iA **** version ( http://www.scenereleases.info/2008/07/l-change-world-2008-dvdrip-xvid-ia **** .html ), a bit smaller (560 x 304) but aspect is closer(1.84). I haven't watched it yet too.
