I could play it fine, without adding the information in "comandos.reg" to the registry, but of course couldn't save the game then.
As soon as I added the information to the registry, I could still play the game and even save it now, but I no longer had any sound.
The solution to this is running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 95. This is accomplished by viewing the properties of all files ending with ".exe", selecting "Compatibility" and setting the value there. This has to be done to all executable files individually.
