Guys! I downloaded and tried to install the game. The problem is that in the end of the installation the game requests the original CD and some security module can't be downloaded and installed. Tried to use YASU - the same problem. the installation is not finished and the game automatically erases. HELP PLEASE!!

Finally got a solution. Though it doesn't help to run the game) At the final step of the install when the game requests the original CD, just minimize the install and rename the destination folder. The game won't be erased. Then download this http://www.mininova.org/tor/851620. Put the cracked file in the erased folder. That's it. In my case the game asks for the serial :( Maybe you will be luckier) Anyway I'm waiting for a 100% working and cracked version. Plz write if you know smth new)

It's a 100% iso rip of the DVD, it's real.

The problem is, it checks to verify your disc is legit during the installation, which can be worked around by ending the install when it asks for the real cd via the task manager, which will keep the directory intact. You can also rename the directory before clicking OK on the message instead, which will also stop the directory from being removed.

You still have to wait on a real activation crack before you can play the game though.

Now this is my understanding as things stand at this point in time. I have the DVD ISO and it is a valid DVD IMAGE. Installs fine (providing you do as explained in other posts regarding the directory or stopping install at the end. I personaly renamed the directory and that worked a treat). There is at present no working crack (crack = no DVD or FIXED EXE). There are other reported files out there but a little research shows these are either fake/dont work/virus/trojan ect need I go on ?).

So I guess the next thing is when someone finds a working CRACK + Serial/keygen ect (In other words Is able to play the SINGLE player campaign withOUT the original DVD in the drive then let us know and post a link to said site/torrent.

However different game protections require different time lines to crack and a Securom game should in therory be an easier game to crack than a starforce protected game so thats something to smile about as this is Securom. However I do not have the skill to crack a Securom protected exe so I for one will have to wait. (As will all of you who are unable to crack it yourselfs wich is everyone of us here is it not ? as we would have no need to be hear if we could crack this personaly.)

So i wait on some tallented guy/gal to sort this as Im sure they will. This is a massive game and highly anti **** ted so Im sure the diff groups out there will be working hard to do this and own the credit for it !!

I too was able to instal and keep the instalation by ctrl/alt/del and canceling the setup from there when it finnishes and it tells you to insert the original disk. ive been checking on gamecopyworld and anywhere else i can think of but have not been able to find any valid crack yet but hopefully someone will release something that works this weekend. im just hopeing that we dont end up getting spammed with alot of fake carcks that seems to be happening alot these days. I will also keep looking and if I find a work around of some type I will post it on here.

Hmm..for those of you not getting a complete install..try mounting the fixed image from gamecopyworld with daemon tools 4.10(I personally always leave all emulation options on) and then installing using this torrented image...the game will fully install everything and there will be no message asking for the cd (no ctl-alt-del necessary)...However, we are all still stuck on entering the serial.

Look Guys, Nobody's gonna give out their keys because Bioshock has a one time online activation security scheme just like XP/Vista. (and I guess 2k games/Securom Activation servers went down for a bit so not even legimate owners can play hehe :P) Anyways you can only have 2 active copies of bioshock installed at any one time per key, I hear they're going to increase this number to 5 active copies to appease the masses. keeper2 - I understand where you are coming from. But in some countries, like mine prices are completely dependent on the average US prices.
Here the average wage in US dollars is around 1000$. Which means after you pay off everything(food, rent, mortgage etc) there is hardly any money left, and most people do not fancy buying the game when It's so much easier downloading it for free.

I know that some countries are even worse off, but still. You have to understand the lure piracy is to poor people, an easy way to enjoy everything and pay for nothing.

The thing is that until people can really afford games while remaining financially secure and relaxed, they are probably going to pirate them.
Gone are the days when people gathered up their savings and went out and bought a game. These days the internet will give you anything you want for free.

Developers have to understand that people will never accept the high price of software when it's so easily distributed freely. They must increase the physical material they give us. When I go to a store I see a DVD that comes in a small plastic case and that's it.
If they would give me 50 page manuals, additional game demo's for instance(printing a CD or DVD costs next to nothing, and demos are free anyway), goodies that are cheap to make, but would drastically increase the value of the product in customers eyes - then I would gladly buy it.

As of now, I get a disc that costs 10 cents to make in a plastic case. And if I'm lucky, some watered down manual that doesn't help. Even worse are the Steam and whatnot versions where you even don't get a single physical representation of the game. Just a bunch of software. It's hard to accept paying for it.

A very similar situation to the music industry. We pay 15$ for 10 cent cd-s that have songs on them. Vinyls at-least offered something more substantial and huge beautifully designed casings. Over time they give us less and less, and yet ****

BTW everyone is BSing about the bypass for the online check. The gamecopyworld image does not bypass the check (getting you to the required serial code step). It still fails to install and the best you can do is ctrl+alt+del it, and then add the bioshock.exe to the /release folder (which still doesn't get anything to launch).

Wrong! GameCopyWorld's mini-image works perfect!!!

You have to mount both this torrents ISO and GameCopyWorld's mini-image using daemon tools. Then run the installation from this torrents ISO.
Then it will install just as if you had the real thing.

By default daemon tools has only one mountable drive so you have to add one more. Select the "set number of devices" and add one more.
YOU HAVE TO MOUNT BOTH and then run the install.

So i downloaded the crack on megagames. The instructions read as follow..
1. Disconnect Internet
2. Install Bioshock
3. When it says please insert origonal disk, copy 2K Games folder to Desktop
4. After its copied, click OK on the protection error
5. Copy the Bioshock.exe to the Release folder
6. Copy the Paul.dll to the Release folder
7. Delete the registry entry for 2K Games
8. Connect Internet
9. Run the game

Found my issue. If you don't use the current version of daemon tools this ISO + the gamecopyworld one will fail when you install. I tried a couple other cd-emulators too, only the latest version of daemon tools worked for me.

-Get the latest copy of daemon tools to pass the online activivation... then wait for a serial code.

Nxcooking.dll can be found in Ageia PhysX folder (if you have installed it earlier). I copied it into the Bioshock folder with the Chaos crew's crack. If you run the game it tries to open Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon :))))))))

2. mount the iso with daemon toolz 4.10 i used
3 mount the mini image with daemon toolz on a different drive than the iso
4 d/l and install Yasu at least version 1.2
5 Cloak your drives with Yasu
6 Install the game and and thats it just wait on a cd key or keygen or crack

This will Install complete game with the autopatcher working and updateing without the need to stop it or rename directory ect.
Once fully installed simply download

Budweiser37, thanks for your help but I am having issues. I followed the instructions 1-6. I have the BIOSHOCK ISO on drive "H" and the mini image on drive "I". I clicked Install from the mounted game, but I still get an error asking for the original disk at the time the patch should download. I am sure there is an easy solution.

CoastMtns, I'm running an older AMD proc, and I could get the mini image to work in DT 4.10. Fortunately it worked just fine when I mounted it in alcohol 120. no yasu no emu

i mounted the 2 images and then cloak them then left it cloaked until it was finished installing

but run yasu 1.3 after the mini image and game iso mounted not before

budweiser37, or anyone else that can help, I do not know what I am doing wrong. Using Daemon tools v4.10, drive "E" I mount the Bioshock ISO, on drive "F" I mount the MDS file from the mini image I obtained from Game Copy World . I then cloak with Yasu 4.0.6. Next I run the install from the mounted ISO. But I get the message telling me to insert the original disc not the back up when it comes to patch. I even tried using Daemon tools 4.0.6. On both attempts I set the Daemon tools emulation to Securom. It has to be something simple that I am missing

I can confirm that the rapidshare crack indeed works.

Just replace the .exe and paul.dll and run secu.eg registry file and you are good to go. That is if you have gotten the game fully installed. Instructions for that are mentioned in the above posts many times.

The game is sweet. It even runs perfect on my old AMD processor. Granted I have a 8800gts and 4gb of ram, but still. Looks pretty well optimized, beautiful graphics and runs tons better then Oblivion for instance which is getting pretty old and still way more demanding...

Ehh...sound issues...seems the game requires a top of the line sound card...no general sound card options or compatability. Sound works fine until you get to the part you can actually start moving around and go inside the tower

no keygen is needed because you never get to the point where it asks you for one. not sure if MagicIso will work as well or at all. But if it does great....I just know that Daemon Tools works perfectly just follow the most recent posts and you will be playing before you know it.

Hey this worked for me, woohoooo!

1.- Mount ISO file
2.- Copy all the files in the ISO to a temp folder. Then unmount the ISO.
3.- Mount the mini Image (I used Daemon Tools 4.10)
4.- Run setup.exe in the temp folder you just created with all the files. The installation will bypass SECUROM and will install all the patches.
5.- Replace the files in the RELEASE folder with the ones in the crack (paul.dll, Bioshock.exe)
6.- Add the registry entries (double click in secu.eg.reg, say YES)

I have been trying everything guys....turning on and off and tweaking all the adjustments in the game options. I have tried running in XP compatibility mode. The Sound doenst work right in game. I just got done installing the new Realtek Drivers but that didnt fix the issue.

i have resolved the audio's problem downloading and installing latest openal driver and the sound turn on again!!! I've got X-FI Xtreme Music with XP PRO SP2 and i've got the sound's problem. Now it works perfectly. But there is no difference(maybe a few...) beetween DX9 and DX10...so i prefer XP. Sorry for my poor english...

Read this before even thinking about downloading it. This game can only be pla **** using latest Nvidia card that supports shader 3. That excludes most of ATI cards (only x1300 and above support the game ). If your card is x700, x800, or x850 like mine then just forget it. I tried it and it was just not playable. No cursor, corrupted graphics, etc. The patch released by ATI only addresses the problem in high end cards such as HD series and X1300 to X1900 series.

Hey this worked for me, and I am not the swiftest when it comes to this. I want to thank those for all their help and DarkCoder for the crack!

1.- Mount ISO file
2.- Copy all the files from the mounted ISO to a temp folder, I created one on my desktop. Then unmount the ISO.
3.- Now mount the mini Image from Game Copy World, I used #3(I used Daemon Tools 4.10)
4.- Run _setup.exe from the temp folder on the desk top you just created with all the files. The installation will bypass SECUROM and will install all the patches.
5.- Replace the files (paul.dll, Bioshock.exe) in the your install folder (backup the originals incase) with the ones from the crack I used DarkCoder’s crack (paul.dll, Bioshock.exe)
6.- Run secu.eg.reg (importing it into the registry) thus adding the registry entries (double click on secu.eg.reg, say YES) Now PLAY!

RedeemedNick try changing your sound to "stereo" rather than 5.1 etc, that has worked for me with other games in the past. Not the best but you will have sound

I just pla **** this game so I know how it works (on behalf of Darkcoder)
1. Mount ur bioshock iso
2. copy all file from iso to a folder.
3. now mount the mini image from gamecopyworld.com (i used the #3 one).
4. install the game from ur folder where u copied ur files from iso. #2 above.
5. It will bypass securom protection and will install all patch and finish it.
6. After install copy ur crack files by darkcoder to dir/build/realease.
7. Copy adn paste and run sec.eg.reg file.
8. When it prompts, just hit yes. ( it will update ur registry.
9. Run the bioshock.exe and enjoy.
P.S U mite wanna install the very latest Nvidia and Ati drivers. I m using 8800gtx 163.44 driver from evga website.

Anyone else have sound issues with this game running on Vista. Im on the phone with 2K Tech support lol...and he cant figure out anything either. Any tips or hints? Is it maybe just that this is a bootleg verison? I wont tell him that of course.

Good d/l. All the steps are mentioned by many people.

Only problem I have with this is that it crashes to the desktop after 2 hours of playing. Then again, my legit copy of Oblivion (also 2k games) crashes as well.
Not sure if its patch, game, computer, or crack's fault.

Well the last thing that 2K tech support had to offer was reinstalling in safe mode w/networking but after doing that unfortunate hassle I still have no sound in game.

Of course it works. I've just finished this game (good ending).

Bioshock is great but it's not perfect unfortunatelly - personally I"v thought it would be a different game (I mean the plot), but it's not dissapointing.

well, i'm done with it, and i don't know about you guys but for me this game've been a huge dissappointment, it's got nice graphics, sound and some outstanding level-design, but that's about it, the story sucks and so does the gameplay, it feels more like an fps mod for oblivion, and it's also very repetetive and lacks any kind of variety, you fight the same enemies in the same type of enviroments and the gameplay isn't inventive and entertainig enough to make you engrossed, not to mention the story, it just doesn't make any sense at all, i can't believe there're people out there already comparing it to HL2! it's not even worth that badass CD-protection, 2K you suck...

openAL is a sound library. For the graphics there is DirectX...for the audio there is OpenAL.
Vista has got only OpenAL. XP has got OpenAL and Direct Sound 3D...

I can't get this to work. I've copied the iso to my disk, ran setup from that folder, mounted the mini image in daemon v4.10, but I still get the no DVD-message at the end. I can't seem to get around the securerom. What wrong do I do?

At the end of setup it will install patches. if you don't have latest driver beta (163.44) you must download it. Then copy bioshock.exe and paul.dll and overwrite all. Then launch Secu.eg.reg, say YES then click OK. Now just play the game ;) ENJOY

I got the game to install and update properly. But, when i go to launch it nothing happens. I check the task manager and it shows bioshock.exe running and using up 99% of the cpu cycles but absolutely nothing more happens. I've let it go for like twenty minutes. and nothing. and I've tried reinstalling. Amd ath XP 3200+ 1gig ddr 400 windows xp sp2 geforce 6800gt

yes... but remember to use maxi image (mini image #2 on gamecopyworld) and it works. I always get PUT ORIGINAL DVD if I use mini image #2 on gamecopyworld...I used the first mode that says source1981...COPYING DVD ISO ON A TEMP DIR ON THE DESKTOP. well for me, i didnt even need to use mini image, you guys, i just renamed the 2k folder to something else when the window asking to insert the original cd was on, then after that, i just used the crack , and it worked!! so i really didnt use the mini images from gamecopyworld at all

Ok guys , we told you to do THAT :

1. Disconnect Internet
2. Install Bioshock
3. When it says please insert origonal disk, copy 2K Games folder to Desktop
4. After its copied, click OK on the protection error
5. Copy the Bioshock.exe to the Release folder
6. Copy the Paul.dll to the Release folder
7. Delete the registry entry for 2K Games
8. Connect Internet
9. Run the game

while installation i had no updates , i used proper lolcats iso.
And I can't unpack the mdf. file from rar. In half of the unpacking it's just stopping and won't do a thing :/ When I give "Cancel" in half of this unpacking it's just somewhere else so should I wait longer for it to unpack or what , I'm a bit confused about this ...

Works perfectly, took me awhile to get it cracked and everything but remember, set up daemon tools to 2 drives, make sure the maxi image (#2 from gamecopyworld, #3 DOES NOT WORK, did not try #1) is on the first drive (Which is actuley drive 0) and bioshock image is on the second drive (drive 1), do not do it the other way around (As I remember one readme says to do) it will NOT WORK.

Use the Darkcoder crack, I downloaded the Bioshock ALL_U_NEED torrent and it has both the image and crack. Disconnecting from the internet or ending the installation process is not is not needed, I did not do it.

This game is insane.. I nearly wanted to sh$t my pants at times, I think its **** a scary.. I really dont see how you couldnt agree but thats just my opinion.

Oh if you have your HD partitioned for just the OS on C:, make sure and change your work folder in winrar or you will get Disk Full error, make sure and CREATE the folder for it aswell because it wont do it for you (Example: Change to D:\Temp). This is for when your extracting the maxi image, as it is 6 gig unpacked (but packed its like 15 meg.. cause its fake lol) and this will probly fill your partitioned drive as it did myn. It extracts to a temporary folder first which needs to be on a drive that has space, and then it moves to the folder that you told it to extract to, so dont think it goes straight to where your pointing.

Anyway follow the instructions, THEY ARE SIMPLE, just read carefully, and you will be enjoying rapture sooner then you know it.

I dont think anyone is having problem with this anymore. If they do all then need to do is download the PC-Rip.. And you dont need the maxi image at all... I installed, changed the name on the folder after install and then cracked it...

Just to confirm that it's working, and to give the instructions again for people too lazy to scroll up

1) download this torrent

2) download the file from rap|dshare. This is the thing to get past the "original disk check" that is required to update the game, and download the game.exe file, among other things. This also contains the crack to play the game. [http://rs33.rap|dshare.com/files/52862435/Bioshock_ALL_U_NEED.rar] replace the | with an i in the url.

3) download and install any image mount software / virtual drive software. You need to enable two virtual drives.

4) extract contents of ALL_U_NEED

5) extract contents of bioshock MAXI_Image

6) Mount the maxi image to one of the virtual drives (it doesnt matter whether its the 1st or second)

7) Mount the iso from this torrent in the other virtual drive

8) run the installation from the iso you got from this torrent. NOT FROM THE MAXI IMAGE

9) let the installation proceed. during the disk check, the downloading of updates, directx, the game.exe, all of this... will begin automatically, as the maxi image makes the installer think you have a valid Disk in your drive.

10) select shortcut installation options for the game (dekstop, start menu). Click on finish.

11) in your bioshock installation folder goto "...\Bioshock\Builds\Release\". In here, rename bioshock.exe to bioshock_bak.exe (or any other name. this is for backup purposes only). rename paul.dll to paul_bak.dll (or any other name. this is for backup purposes only).
12) copy the 4 files from darkcoder's pack to "...\Bioshock\Builds\Release\"
These are readme.txt, bioshock.exe, paul.dll, secu.eg.reg,

13) double click on secu.eg.rg, and allow the registry change when prompted by windows, your firewall, etc.



By now, the game shoudl be fully patched, craked, and ready for play.

I have not tried bioshock's patch 1.1 on this yet. Will do that in a few days. :)
