This torrent is clean but a little bit slow!

My experience with this torrent..

I dled and installed this. Worked fine however there were a few setbacks :

1) Patch.exe is detected as a virus, Hosts.qk or something to be exact. I assumed that this is because it modifies the C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts file and adds this line to it;

127.0.0.1 update.bitdefender.com

I guess this is a false positive.

2) After I installed this, a new BHO called cmd32l.dll (if I recall) popped up in my system (identified with HijackThis) and it kept deleting the js3250.dll in my Firefox folder causing it to be unable to start up. BitDefender (after following instructions + updating) did not detect this BHO and neither did my previous antivirus.

I am not sure if this came from the 2 files with the bitdefender setup in this torrent, I'm too lazy to p ****

Anyway to summarize this, the program + installation method works fine, it detects and updates but is a little too dodgy for my use. I uninstalled it after roughly 20 minutes of using it because it caused my laptop to slow down alot (C2D 1.6). Furthermore, the uninstaller halted (not crashed) at 5% causing me to have to click Cancel (breaking the entire uninstall process) and forcing me to manually remove it. It installs an NDIS wrapper on every network connection, 3 system services and 2 startup executables which I had to manually disable to get it out of my system. My first and last experience with this bulky AV software, my advise is to do things manually if you can :)

Patch is not a virus.
Here's what I did to get it working.

1. Turn off internet connection.
2. Run the keygenerator AND the patch.exe
3. Run as TRIAL MODE.
4. Copy the generated serial and paste it when bitdefender installation asks for it.
5. After the installation is finished. click "OK" button on the Patch.exe (this is very important) to patch the bit defender.If in case you forgot to click that "OK" button, well, just completely uninstall the bitdefender software, restart your pc and repeat from step 1.
6. turn on internet connection and update bitdefender.
7. restart your pc and enjoy.

hmmm.....people are commenting about their computer running incredibly slow?? i am not having that problem AT ALL....in fact, my computer is running way better than it was...i am having no problems with the program..it's working great for me. thanks to heartbug for the download! and yes, bitdefender does recognize the patch as a virus, but it got rid of it immediately after installation and scan of system...all i can say is if you're skeptical, don't download it, or keep the torrent on your system after you install it..but i seeded it to over a 2.8 ratio b4 i deleted it..

i think Kasperski is more stable. Bitdefender is good but the torrent isnt escuse my english

it is wprking now but .......i trie all thous keys from the keygenerator and no one its good ..... i trie from the internet some keys and i dident find a working key why?

okay i downloaded this about a month ago, and it seemed to be working fine..however, i don't know if bitdefender caught on to the patch, but bitdefender is no longer working...i'm not so much concerned with that as with the fact that i can't seem to uninstall it from my system..everytime i try, the uninstaller freezes...tried to uninstall it another way, but i still cant...now i'm worried that this was a bullsh*t upload and i'm ****

nevermind..i was finally able to get it off manually...but it was quite a headache to get it completely off..

i dloaded this..everything works fine..

but when i click on the 'OK' button on the patch... it displays some error message
like "On Click, Line 5 : attempt to index global 'attrib' (nil value)"

and also my torrent is not going beyond the speed of 10-12 kbps.. but direct downloads are going on good speed... is it cuz of bitdefender or any of its rules?

anyone got any solutions plz?
