It installs but, When I replace w/ the crack I get, "The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically. You must reinstall of call customer support."
I got the instructions from another site and ive just succesfully installed it
1)Mount with PowerISO
2)Don't run setup.exe, Copy all the files and paste them in a folder on your hard drive.
3)Run setup.exe, should work fine.

Solution to the no cd error
Incase you did what i did first time round and run the setup.exe and then it asked for the cd then this is how i fixed it.
1)Opened up setup.exe and uninstalled the shared components thing.
2)Make sure you open the setup.exe from the folder in your hardrive when everything is uninstalled.
3)Install
NellAllen you can get it here...after you download open the folder double click on the icon shaped like a dvd then it will take you to poweriso. You can also right click and select open with poweriso. From there just extract to a folder and follow what PSANKY explains.
Works Fine....thanks to the uploader...illustrator CS3 is like $999....lol.
I wanna add one more thing to that poweriso installation!
- Instead of mounting it, try the EXTRACT button
- Choose a destination folder you desire
- Then Click that .EXE file and Follow Psanky crack instructions
i don't know how to use the crack, the only file in the crack folder is a shortcut for illustrator application, can someone tell me how to use the crack or where I can get another serial number, etc, I tried copying that shortcut to the directory psanky notes but then what? or is there something else I need to do... please help
i read through the comment written above and i still dont understand...i have installed Illustrator but the only thing is that its asking me for the serial number and i really cant find it...

CS3 Bug - "Please Insert CD" - Solution

for that annoying install bug. please feedback to my email antrax@zahav.net.il
and tell me if that was a good solution.
ok. this solution involves regedit.exe if you have no clue what it is, let someone
who knows how to do this.
1. open regedit (start > run > type "regedit" > press ok)
2. open "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT"
3. find "installer"
4. open installer and right click on "products"
5. choose "export" and save this file to your desktop (name dosent matters)
6. right click again on "products" and choose "delete"
7. copy all cd content to a folder in your desktop
8. run "Setup.exe"
9. if you have an option to remove components or something
like that (trash can icon), choose it and remove components.
10. after you have removed components, install the program normally.
11. after install finished, run the reg file that you saved on your desktop and walla...

Can somebody please help me get a serial key? I open the crack folder and it has no crack... Apparently i'm not the only one with this problem.. so does anyone have any solutions or answers?
Crack file placement works great, I just downloaded the file, got a ripped copy of PowerISO, extracted the files, moved the crack to the appropriate folder as mentioned by psanky and all is good! thanks to the crackers and this upload!

But the crack has to be moved to a specific folder, not the main one. Move the DLL into - Program FilesAdobeAdobe Illustrator CS3Support FilesContentsWindows.
Also, if you getting the no CD issue, check your Add Remove programs, You might have to uninstall it from there first, as it appears for some crazy extracting reason!

Copy the crack in the crack folder into the following directory: Programs Files > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator CS3 > Support Files > Contents > Windows
