game works.. here are the instructions to istall it...
tested and working.
THIS GAME WORKS!
follow the instructions and no prolbg...
2. Mount or burn the img files.
3. Install the game by running setup.exe located in the disc1

A) If you recieve an error message about file missing (empire total war_disk1_0.sid) it is located
on the disc. Just press the browse button and navigate to the disc1 or disc2
4. DO NOT APPLY THE RAZOR1911 CRACK FROM DISC1.
5. Download the edited crack from http://www.2shared.com/file/5018580/4f16593c/Razor1911edited.html
6. Unpack the file and copy the contents of:
config -folder to Empire Total War directory
data folder(copy the files from data folder boot.pack, patch.pack, patch_en.pack to Empire Total War/data directory)
7. download the file http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4752660/etw_sounds_sfx.pack
8. Unrar the file and put sounds_sfx.pack into the data folder located in the Empire Total War folder.

iceman can you tell me how long you got to install it?cause i tryit and it simply got stuck on instalation, i got to your step 3, and no advance, cant play it =|

I´m having the same problem. The instalation gets stuck at "800 files", than proceeds, but i think never concludes because when I try to play the game, a message like this apears - "d3dxd9_40.dll missing. reinstal may solve the problem." Did I instal it correctly?

I could use some help...=|

ups... problem solved. But now the game crushes in the initial credits screen. (message saying it stoped working).

It says setup_bs.exe cannot be found anyone knows why this happens? It also says setup.dat is missing but all the files are there

guys am having problems ......the installation software keeps asking for "disk 2_1" even though i keep re-directing it to the mounted image of disc 2..........som1 pls help
