it plays amazingly on my 2.4ghz athlon, 1gb ram, and agp 7800gs. i would recommend an athlon 3000/intel p4 2.8 or better, 1gb ram min, 6600/radeon x800 for min specs. as always, everything plays better on a 64-bit OS if you can run one.
