Let me explain it to "dukeearle"

U have The Netherlands (NL) where we speak ( DUTCH )
In Germany (D) ppl speak german ( wow big surprise ) or also what they call it themself "deutsch"

guys just want to know ,
i burnt some of these dvd rips usually 5 or 6 movies as files (all are in AVI formats ...as is what we are downloading) on to a dvd-r 4.7gb dvd using ashampoo burning studio using my amazing dvd player that can play almost anything.

I didnt convert it to dvd format since my amazing dvd player reads avi and all sorts of format and its also takes time to convert to dvd format and also the fact that 1 movie takes up almost 1 dvd-r.

My question will there be a loss of quality or any difference at all if i had it converted to dvd format?it seems fine but i dont know if its the dvd rips that i downloaded or the way that i had burnt them on...somtimes i get long pauses while watching and sometimes audio is out of sync but not all the time.

any comments and suggestions??? help?

its your player's lens that might have problem or the dvd media might not be gud...seems to me that there is some issue related to reading data from disc...cud happen because of many reason...try Nero for a change and Dvd from another manufaturer and Burn them at lower speed...dont burn them at high speeds...it might be the speed at which you are burnin you dvd that might cause the problem

@ frontiera i guess ur amazing DVD player aint that amazing after all....lol f.y.i i have a Home theatre system that can play avi also. works a charm, no problems and quality is amazing...

oh yeah i agree with POISON_X try burning at lower speed...
