nugnug if i remember correctly i`m the one paying my isp, not them paying me. there`s a little thing called privacy. i dont know what country you live in but if they dont offer you that privacy i suggest getting a new isp.
You may have used a crack for oblivion. I think that updates doesn't work with cracked exe files. You should try putting the old exe file before updating if you have a backup or reinstall oblivion if you didn't keep a backup.
You need to use the correct patch for your version. I encountered the same problem when I was trying to update. Go to the Oblivion website and find the correct patch, and then you shouldn't encounter the problem again.
