after i unzip these files i get a Half Life 2 Episode 2 folder and some .gcf files which are 700 - 1200 MB..........What is this, and what do i do with them.......How do i open them

**** o everyone. This game works quite well.
Once u're done extracting it, send a shortcut of hl2.exe to desktop done with that, u go to the shortcut properties and at the extreme end of the target paste this -
-steam -game ep2
So once u've pasted it the whole thing will look like what's written b/w the brackets
( "C:Half Life 2 - Ep 2half-life 2 episode twohl2.exe" -steam -game ep2 )

I did exactly as it is stated. But when I run the shortcut nothing happens. I have tried to download other rips and had the same problem. I pla **** hl2, hl2 episode 1 without any problems. I am trying to run it on windows server 2003. If anyone can help me please do so :))). Thanks in advance.
