just now tested. this is working 100%. thankx to CaZoR.

pros:
-new user interface. not the usual comic look start up
-burn the cds, or do whatever function right from the startsmart screen

cons:
-i wonder how many ppl use rss feeds while using a burning software
-i installed only nero express and nero burning rom, took an extra 300mb. wtf!

of course you dont need this upgrade if you dont have a blue-ray rom or dont intend to get one soon.

lol u lots just go to the nero site download the trial n download the keygen from here n it will work u dont need the 900mb this is proberbly the trial version all u have to do is genarate a key n put it in but if u want faster download get it off nero site n download the keygen the only reason y this 1 so small is because nero compress the 900mb cd verion to 300mb downloadable version so its quicker for u lots to download u dont really want to download 900mb takes to long lol

I can verify, this is not fake. The install exe is the trial version. You have to download all the extras seperate on the nero site.

Heyo Everybody

This is how you stop nero from telling you that your serial is a pirate

1. Disconnect your internet
2. Install nero
3. Use Embrace Keygen to clean all serial entries, then make a new one. Use the new serial
4. Once installed, reboot
5. Once rebooted (Internet still disconnected), go START>RUN and type msconfig
6. In the msconfig menu, select the startup tab. Find "NeroCheck" item and disable. Click apply and ok.
7. Then search you computer for "NeroPatentActivation.exe" and delete this file. Also delete any files associated with the Prefetch Folder.
8. Once this is done, reboot the computer.
9. Once the computer is rebooted, reconnect your internet. REMEMBER: Disable the update feature in the Nero control panel to avoid future problems

the thing won't start installing! It extracts files, then loads a little while then says "your system was not modified" "installation was interrupted before nero could finish..." bla bla
The internet is disconnected and I cleaned all keys.
What's wrong???????????????????????

To anyone having the ACTIVATE PRODUCT message after the deletion of the patentactivation file, please re-use the EMBRACE keygen to generate another key, then go to nero control centre and add the new serial, then delete the old one. make sure you remember which serial is the new one.

to anyone who is getting the error "microsoft visual c++ runtime library", i'm not sure how to fix this. To by pass for now, uninstall nero with the General nero clean tool, then run a registry cleaner (reg seeker), then reboot. after reboot, re-install nero and follow the earlier instructions to remove the activation file. after this, the error message should be removed.

Its the trial version. With a keygen it works fine. I installed it (needed to turn back on Windows Update) and deleted c\programs\common files\nero\shared\nl3 C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\Shared\n13\NeroPatentActivation.exe and then it burnt my Gilmore Girls at amazing quality! Over 9000 quality!!!!111oneoneone.

hi,i disabled the deleted th patent exe, and disabled nero check, after th reboots, turned of th nero update, and re enabled my interent conection. everything still works.
so just mke SURE u got at the right things turned of, and u can go online straight after.

I have a problem like everyone else. I already had nero, but it expired. I have nero 8 saved on a disc so when I put the disc in and install like most people I keep getting that patent activation one time download garbage. So does that mean that I just need a new working keygen or do I need to just download a whole new nero 8? Can someone please give me some feedback that is pretty good with this nero 8 stuff.

Please use the Embrace keygen to clean all the serial numbers from the computer, then use a registry cleaner like RegSeeker 1.51 and clean the registry while nero is still installed. After that, reboot. Then after the reboot, open any nero product. a screen will tell you that you cannot use nero without a serial, click the text that says something like enter serial. Then generate a new serial from the keygen, and enter it in.

That should now be it. Good Luck

somethings wrong with it... ive been using this bero 8 for months then it had an error when using the Nero Vision and try to create a DVD video.... when the time it tries to transcode the video it will have a pop up saying patent window.... ive already deleted the patent file ".exe" but still wont work... if you have already deleted the patent file nad are still having the error. You need to generate a new key and add it to the nero control centre, and delete the old one, then use reg seeker to remove any invalid registry links.

Wave I even tried the fix you suggested in your last post but no dice BTW I figured out how to disable the update feature... duh! can someone please confirm the only patentactivation.exe is in the following location? I have problem to install nero 8 , can anybody help me with that ?? After nero is checking my system he gives me this note :
The wizard was interrupted before Nero 8 Demo could be completely installed.

Your system has not been modified.To complete the installation at another time, please run setup again.

And this is happend with every version of nero 8 when I try to install.

Attention KDE:

Try using regseeker or some other registry cleaner program before you install. there maybe some errors stopping the installation from going ahead. BUT, if you have already had Nero 7 or 8 installed, then you must go to the nero website, and download the nero clean tool, and clean your computer of everything with the tool. Then do a registry scan/clean, then proceed to instal nero 8 for the second time.

I've recieved an email from someone else needing help with nero 8. They told me that their computer crashed, and had to reinstall windows. It sound to me, that something that gets installed on everybodies computer causes the problem. (example: flash player, divx codec etc).

I've also been thinking that maybe it could be Service pack 2 on XP. Maybe if nero is installed before the installation of service pack 2 or higher, the problem maybe erased.

Just a thought. I'm going to test in the next few days.

My computer works just fine. Yes , probablly because something in my system ( that can't be "modified" ) nero won't install , but I don't wont to format C: partition only because of that.If there is some other way let me know.

Maybe if I uninstall SP 2 nero will finally install ? , i will let you know if I had success with that.

My Nero 8 stopped working after a few days, even after I followed the instructions above left by wavenero :(

But if yours still works, I found some WORKING serials for extra plug-in activations:
1. Go to "Start"
2. Go to "All Programs"
3. Go to "Nero 8"
4. Go to "Toolkit"
5. Go to "Control Centre"
You will see list of Nero applications that are installed on your computer.
6. At bottom un-check "Check for updates every: ___ ."
7. On the left hand side click the License (KEY) icon
8. Enter following serials:

-Blu-ray/HD DVD Video Plug-in:- EC06-206A-99K5-2527-940M-3227-K7XK
-mp3PRO Plug-in:- 9C00-E0A2-98K1-294K-06XC-MX2C-X988
