hey pacman put these numbers 00c0a8e472cd where it says your host and then drag the aw file onto the keygen you need not go to command prompt. and to lord astarot what do u mean by samples.

Samples its mean - compleate scene or model from autodesk, maybe its movie, scripts, extras, utilities.

I'm looking for Autodesk Max 2008, anyone can place it?

I tried the step by step installation but it didn't work for me and probably for others to. So here's how I got it to work (most steps are the same):

1. First Create a directory on the c: drive (even if you install maya on different drive) called
FLEXLM
2. Copy the aw.dat and awkeygen.exe file to this directory.
3. Install Maya
4. Goto start-->all programs-->Autodesk-->common utilities-->FlexLM license utilities
5. Under system settings copy Ethernet address
6. Open the file (from the directory FLEXLM) aw.dat with Wordpad and replace the words "your host"
with the copied Ethernet address. Save and close wordpad
7. Drag and drop the aw.dat on to awkeygen.exe
8. Goto start-->all programs-->Autodesk-->Autodesk Maya 2008-->Licensing
select "I have a license that I need to install"-->"I would like to type or paste my license file"
9. Go tho aw.dat, open it with wordpad and copy paste the text
10. And now before you click next uncheck "install do default license file" at the bottom and follow through the steps.
11. At the end uncheck "Run Maya..." and close the program.
12. Restart.

That should do the trick.

Jinus - I did what you said but this is what I have come to...

Once I C/P the 'license' it says it is not the full license, so then it wants me to browse for the license so I find the aw.dat and it loads it and then it gives me something like installation could not be completed. None of that restart stuff and what not. So then I exit it and I can run maya smoothly but then I decided to delete FLEXLM to see if it was cracked properly so I deleted and it said I needed license so I re-did what I did and it's cracked but what I want to know is was it supposed to be cracked that way? If not what did I do wrong?

Hm... Not really sure as to what you're asking. What I've wrote above is just the procedure that worked for me, thats all. And I've also found out that u don't need to uncheck the "install to default license file". But restarting before runing is crutial.

When I tried to do it in the fashion thats written in the install.txt do **** ent it didn't work for me. I also got the "installation could not be completed" or something like that. But when I tried to run maya it asked me again for the activation...

What Cravepain wrote happened to me also. Can't figure it out.

try this method....it worked for me....hope it works for you tooo...

7. Select run from the start menu & type cmd
8. Type cd\ and then press enter
9. Type cd flexlm and press enter
10. Type awkeygen aw.dat and press enter
11. Type exit and press enter
12. Run Maya 2008

when i try to install it, it says its corrupt.
