i extracted with winrar and used power iso to burn at 2x speed and did a clean install

ok i just tr **** the version you downloaded and went in without registering and clicked the burn icon pick which burning to use and it lets me change the speed in a little scroll menu- 4x is the lowest

did u burn to dvd or cd because with cd i can change speed but not in dvd mode

leave it unchecked and burn with a dvd disc in the drive

yes durning install turn off the automatic downloads and once you have it cracked go into the windows update settings and set it you it notifies you which updates are available so you can choose every update except the windows validation tool updates

its best to do a clean install when swapping os versions

chrisipoo u can keep all ure files either by backing them up and putting them on vista :D

you can do the Vista Upgrade, this just install vista over XP keeping all your original files.

you can try and do an upgrade from windows but demonskater couldnt and only got it to work when he booted from the dvd and installed it

to be honest id rather do a clean install. like i said, just back up all ure old files, vista will probably have loads of issues with ure current xp stuff anyway

i agree with hj99 because of the wide differences between the two os's it is best to do a clean install

i found that if you DONT replace the tokens'dat file you can reboot perfectly fine without it asking for the key again, will do a reinstall and try cracking it without replacing that file, will get back to you... gotta go to work expect a response in about 11 hrs...

you must have downloaded the windows validation tool update you have to set your updates to notify you which ones to install so you dont install that one, you can try to remove that update or do a system restore prior updates installed and redo you updates minus the validation tool update

dont enter the key during install just select which version you want and select this is the version i purchased you enter the key after you complete the crack

ok so i read thru most of the info. that you guys have been leaving up there, now my only question is as follows: Understanding that vista is a dvd bought in store, but like other programs and games u have the option to buy the multiple cd's or just one or 2 dvd's, my question is, will either power iso or alcohol 120% burn the program into a series of multiple cd's changing out each cd during install ( i dont have a dvd burner, still back with old cd burner, its a dell!! ) thanks guys, any info on what to do would be cool

lol well quite true indeed, well if you knew anyone in the states too bad, either way getting ahold of a dvd burner couldnt be to hard they are cheap on the net in some places, but that question demonskater had about the genuine version the only way to get around that would be to get the activation code from the register windows window and call microsoft and tell them you just had to reinstall on the comp and had to reboot, other than that i dont know

I don't think it would work fine if you burn the installation files on a multiple CD's instead of a single DVD... what you can you do is to find a friend who has a DVD burner and then take your hard drive and replace it with his, so you can burn the DVD and install windows on your hard drive and after that all you can get back your hard drive on your computer/laptop

anyway my friends I wouldn't recommend using this new OS till Microsoft announce the SP1 updates because till now nobody knows what's hidden from the experts.. well be careful anyway

Ok. i used iso buster and burned at 4x went into the setting on my comp so i can boot from DVD Drive, booted from drive, formated my cd drive installed the ultimate edition worked great just need to install the drivers for everything and go for the crack s far everything is working :)

its possible to run both os its called dual booting but you will need to partition the hd and its a more complicated install
they just refer to the pkeyconfig and the tokans.dat file that are in the crack folder

Nope, logical drives are not meant to have an Operating System on them. Thus the Operating System will not run or even boot on a logical drive.

i installed on my roomies pc with 1.7ghz and it works well

@ Talhaaj: before burning the image on a dvd, use the app PowerIso or UltraIso to mount one of the images on a virtual drive and check if the size is more that 2.35 GB, this way you will be sure that you got all rar parts correctly and extracted them in a right way... now go to the mounted image and press on setup.exe to check if it begins correctly... if yes, cancel the installation and burn the dvd to make a clean installation... if not then check if one of the rar parts is less than 100 MB (except of the last one) so it could be that one of the parts is corrupted.

for a clean install you are going to need a dvd burner but for a upgrade from windows you might be lucky if a virtual drive would work by mounting to it

I got it and I used the serial number that you gave. Then, with the registered version, I extracted the iso and tried to run it from my computer (which didn't work either). And its to big to fit on a cd-r.

yep, be sure to remove the evaluation copy by following the last step. and make sure you have a product key available upon reboot

I have downloaded and followed the crack. I rebooted and entered the activation key I received from microsoft and it accepted the key. I definately though have not downloaded any updated and this was confirmed by going into the update history and it says that I have not tried to install any updates for your computer. It also states that "updates were installed: Never" and yet in the bottom right corner I have the build # and then underneath this "this copy of windows is not genuine" Does this mean that the key provided by microsoft is wrong? I'm not sure what I did wrong in the install process as it went perfect until I rebooted and entered the activation key. Any help would be appreciated.

did you take full control of the file if so try taking full control of the actual en-us folder

rename the file user32.dll.mui.bck and then copy the file, i believe that how i did it
bck means backup

it is cracked the watermark shows up because of the type of serial key we used to crack the validation process, it doesnt mean that the vista is an evaluation copy

yeah you go into control panel and then to user accounts and look for the user account control and shut it off requires a reboot and will cause a security warning

hey guys, i still cant fix my problem. I tried burnig the .iso file at 4x on dvds, both the times, the burning failed and my dvds were trashed! I cant understand where the problem is, whenever i am burning on 4x it is showing this problem, but when i burned a dvd at maximum speed, it worked out fine~

Yea mine dosent work eather half way through copping files i get the error message 80070241 i tried burining it at 2x i tried mounting the iso i even tr **** downloading it again no luck so far

once burned you have to install it from boot which means boot it from your dvd and install that way
and tal it has to be your system thats messing up

I burnt in at 4x using Power Iso. I booted the Vista cd at start up. It comes up after it asks u put it the product key i press next and then after a while of loading it says that error message

i followed the instructions to install to the letter ,except when i reboot the pc for the 1st time after the installation of vista (before step 4 of the crack) i have no choice but to type in the registration key.. and when the desktop was there, i have the message at the bottom saying that is not genuine....im lost

theres the iso file, a folder(Vista Crack), Install Notes.txt, and a shortcut to a website.

fireflame65, im not sure, but if ure external harddrive is usb then i doubt DOS would recognise it on bootup seeing its USB.

I think u can install it if you download alchol 120% and run the image file on a virtual drive.
When the vista install menu comes up you select which hardrive or partition you want to install it on. (im not sure if when u boot that windows will recognise the ext. H'drive in the DOS mode tho.)

try it, see what happens. To install vista tho you do really need to have copy on DVD, this is because it looks for the DVD during reboots and finishes installing Vista in the DOS type mode. (or whatever its called) sorry for the grammer :D

sri1529, ure downloading a torrent yet you dont know what an .iso file is.

well as far as i know

iso is a single file which contains all the data files from an original cd or dvd.
A person uses software to create the iso and they then upload it to the internet as its easyier to download rather than all the seperate files.

Software which is used to burn the iso could be:

Power ISO
Magic ISO
Alchol 120%
Nero

Once you've downloaded the file you need to open one of those program above and select the .iso file which uve downloaded.

You then need to burn the file to a blank dvd (NOT CD in this case)

Make sure you burn at either 1x speed or 4x speed any higher and the burning process may become unstable and some files may not be burnt properly.

and DONT use the automatic updates because MS install a validation thing that detects genuine copies after installing (i think).

I got Windows Vista installed and all but for some reason parts of it crash. Running processes such as all the games except Inkball causes them to crash at the same time everytime for no absolute reason. Also trying slideshow mode with pictures makes the slideshow crash even before it starts. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

3. click the open folder and point it to your downloaded iso image.
4. select it, magic iso will the show u the list of files contained in the image, & show u
if its bootable or not
5. click the burn ico on the middlish right side
6. select ure burn speed (2x or 4x reccommended) and your away

Well, I found the solution everythings great now. My video card, the Radeon x800gt, had problems. The drivers that ATI released for Vista are not compatible with the effects in Vista. I found the solution online and I downloaded an old version that ATI made for the Vista RC1. It fixed the problem. NOw my Aero works and my games work. Microsoft's drivers, also I read, were not compatible with my card and caused the problem. If anyone is having the same problem as me just say and I'll link you to the RC1 drivers. Now what I would like to know for certain is that this copy of Windows will not expire. I followed all the cracking instructions and now I even have it saying that Windows has been activated. boxa_boxu.. it will work! but! it will be really slow.. it's not recommended to install vista over a 512ram, but you can.. maybe windows vista home basic is much better to install for a good performance as your memory is only 512mb.

OK now i hit a new problem, when i go to install it i follow the steps till when it asks me what i want to install(Home priemum, Ultimate ect) i click on the Ultimate then check the box that this is what i want, then when i click next it just stops whats wrong with it?

hmmm...well you probably downloaded a courpt part of the file of sombody via p2p, im afraid you will have 2 re-download!

but first try re-extracting the downloaded file to a differrent location

Ganoderma I used alcohol 120 and burned it to a dvd @4x -- I think that was the lowest.

I used vlite (an application posted somewere above) to burn only the version of windows i needed. Then i used clone CD to burn it 2 dvd at 1x

1. Download the torrent above and burn to a dvd at lower than 4x (i personally recomend 1x)
2. Install windows, when you are asked for a serial at setup dont enter one and click next

the bandwidth spikes up and down depending on the seeders some don't give up bandwidth and some do so that lil 20k that you get may change and go up to well over 100k like mines did --- bandwidth just spikes with bit torrents --- thats just how it is.

How is it possible to do a dual boot with XP and Vista?

I'm having a problem burning the image. After about 7 minutes of burning at 4x speed it says that the autorun.dll file is not a valid image file or something like that. I downloaded and extracted this about a week and a half ago or more but just haven't had access to a DVD burner yet. Any help?

If you cant get a serial # go to this web site and download timerlock it will keep you in the 30 day grace period and you can still get all the updates excpt KB931573 and WGA KB929391 they are validation updates and will not let u run timerlock

gears of war if it is asking you for a serial key before you logon to windows you will need to do another clean install of windows and perform the crack all over again

Would someone plz help me out. I installed Vista Ultimate from this ISO. It extracted just fine and also reboot but once it goes into loading windows for the first time the blue screen comes up with some sort of a no_page.... error and reboots and tells me to restart the install once it reboots. I've done that 3 times and everytime it's the same error. I did  a clean install on my 150Gig drive.

If the servers are busy when u try to download it try at a later time at night, or early in the morning the site dosent have that many servers to download things and they can get crowded very easy, or you might want to try one of the diffrent links on the page, the one i got to work was TimerLock version 2.3

They are called KB931573 and WGA KB929391, they will be seen as critical updates do not install them! if you dont see them in ur update area then dont worry they did not show up in mine and i have been running it for about a month now.

im now going to try a clean install (even though im running vista now) because it keeps giving me the corrupt message ¬¬

hey if anyone have a problem with error on 48%(or other) of istallation go to the site below and download software called vlite.it will repair your installation.you have to choose the directory on your pc where you have the setup file.then just choose the type of windows vista(home basic,premium,ultimate...) and it´ll do it.it had worked for me.

Hi, I need some help with the installation. After the second restart, while installing, the microsoft loading appears for a few secs, then it goes away, the screen is blac for abt 5 secs, and then i get a msg that there is no signal and that my monitor is turning off. It remains like this for ever, until i restart. On restart the exact same thing happens.

you would only have to back up and format the partition or hd that you are installing windows vista to.....
