i downloaded this in 2 and a half hours.... F#@kin Sweet game

The game works here but for some reason I'm unable to turn on bloom lighting, depth of field and distortion graphics settings on (the mark boxes appear locked). Also, even though I have shadows turned on, they simply do not appear in-game. The other settings such as anti-alias, fur, etc. seem to be working alright.

I had heard the game had some problems running on nVidia cards, still I had only heard of some glitches or game crashes, nothing like what's going on here. I use a geforce 8500gt here, with latest drivers and all.

Anyone has any idea of what could be happening?

if the mark boxes appear locked it means that your card does not support it =x
As for the shadows, try updating direct x and your gfx' drivers :)

You have to raise ur upload limit of the client to at least 6KiB/s
Every one should'nt give a limit to the upload ..

when i try to install it it goes up to the end then says there is something wrong with the sound file?!
saying something in the cabinet is wrong or something...

Cannot patch to 1.1 and at the first installation got an error about a speech file.

First thing's first, ignore the error message that you get about the sound file.
Secondly for people who get the message "please insert cd and restart" here's what to do.

After installation, go onto my computer, and right click on drive you mounted black and white 2.

Click explore and proceed to the deviance(sp?) folder, Install patch 1 and and 2 to fix the bugs.

After you've done that copy the white exe. excutable file and paste it into the black and white 2 directory path located in program files or wherever else you decided to install it to.

It will ask you do you want to overwrite the existing file, click yes.

This will solve the problem of "please insert cd"

Hope this helps a little, took me ages to figure out what was wrong

assuming you have utorrent you can just choose the files you want to download took me 30min to get what i needed select BW2_disc1_mds And MDF files once you have them mount the mds file and play

Now ive been searching for an answer for quite sometime now and that one made the most sense to me.

But it still didn't work. I tried to drag that "white" file into the "black and white 2" folder and an error came up saying that i could not put a shortcut into that folder and it asked me if I wanted to put it onto the desktop instead.

Is there anything I can do about this, or is there anything else i can do to get this game to work!!! plzzzz HELP!
