ok seriously i am the biggest computer noob ever, for a while anything more advanced than "double click to open,..... enjoy game" was a mystery to me but i managed to get this to work swimmingly.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO GET STUCK AT THE IMAGE OF A BRIDGE, OR HAVE THE "THIS PROGAM IS RUNNING CANNOT REPLACE" PROMPT. DO THIS, THIS IS HOW I GOT IT TO WORK PERFECTLY!!.
ctrl+alt+delete, (for vista users you have to select "start task manager") sim city will not show up as running in the applications tab, go to processes then find sim city 4 and click end process, when the prompt comes up do it again. after you do that, then copy the crack to the app folder and enjoy.
