I'm not sure why, but my antivirus detected something in the "FullScreenMode.exe". I use a very powerful detection though. I don't know what it means. It could be safe, but just need more information. Thanks.
WARNING: You have to copy a bunch of files into the game folders to crack. One of the files is a 'FalloutLauncher.exe'. It will make Fallout 3 launch in Spanish, but you can stil play it. Do not copy that file into your game folder unless you want your game to launch in Spanish.
What do you mean the the retail revision might be slightly higher? The retail and the rtm are the exact same DVD. There is no difference. If I have a bag of 20 marbles all the same, I can give 10 to somebody in July. Then I can put the other 10 in the box, and sell it in a store in October. There is no difference.
I can take the RTM DVD, and use it to install W7 using a key I got from buying a retail copy. It would be the exact same thing as if I had actually used the DVD that came in the retail box.
Please answer:
1. As far as I know the retail and the RTM are exactly the same thing. Why is the Retail over $100 more than the OEM?
2. As far as I know, both OEM and retail versions of Windows Ultimate do not combine 32-bit and 64-bit with options to install either or. You have to get either 32-bit or 64-bit. Was there some sort of release that we don't know about that includes both 32 and 64 with options on choosing which one you want to install? If not, then this cannot be an unaltered copy of the full rtm release.
The official release is Windows 7 Build 7600.16385.090713-1255.
According to the "About Windows" box, it only says this is Build 7600. It doesn't specify all the other numbers that go after 7600. As far as I know, this is definitely the official release. The RTM and the Retail release are the exact same disc. All my updates went smoothe, and everything is working great. Thanks!
I finally installed it. Here is what happened:
1. I've been using Windows 7 Beta (legit from MS offer) since May. I zeroed my hard drive, and installed this clean. The installation was the same. Fast.
2. Towards the end, you are asked to enter a user name. You can't leave this blank. You must enter a name. Then you are asked to enter a password which you can leave blank.
3. Then you are taken to the Product Key screen where you enter the Product ID. I just left it blank.
There is also a box that you can check/uncheck: 'Automatically Activate Windows when I'm online'
I left in unchecked in order to validate it manually.
4. After installing, network worked without need to install drivers. So I plugged in my network cable. (I keep the internet unplugged during installation.)
5. I checked the 'System' in 'Control Panel'. It says: "Windows is activated".
6. So I went to the validation website to validate. http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ValidateNow.aspx?displaylang=en
I clicked the 'Validate Windows' button. I was taken to another screen, but nothing at all happened.
7. Then I went to the diagnostics page:
http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/default.aspx?displaylang=en&sGuid=dca50abc-4d05-4e8c-8967-76f4663f3545
There, it installed some ActiveX thing to make sure everything checks out. Everything checked out fine. When I clicked the 'Validate Windows' button, the same thing happened from #6. Nothing.
Evenutally, I found this:
"Currently, online validation is supported for the following versions of Windows: Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional Edition (excluding Windows XP Professional x64 Edition), Windows XP Starter Edition, Windows XP Media Center Edition, and all editions of Windows Vista."
So no 'online' validation for W7.
8. I ran Windows Update. Everything updated and installed perfectly. Everything is showing that Windows is activated and working properly.
Build 7600.16385.090713-1255 is the official release. I'm presuming this is it? It was released to manufacturers (RTM) in July. Then released to retail sometime last week. Both the RTM and retail release are exactly the same thing.
Does this pass validation so that I can run Windows Updates?
I noticed lots of comments on mininova about this game being impossible to install. After close to a dozen attempts at installing the game, I finally got it installed. It now works perfect on on my quad core nVidia gaming rig.
Here is the problem.
1. The first problem is that the files are in mdf/mds format. PowerISO doesnt even recognize them to mount onto a virtual drive.
2. Another problem is that installation takes forever. At the end of the installation, there is an error claiming to use the original DVD, and not the backup. When you exit, you find that nothing got installed.
3. Either that or it gives the error that it cannot access the patch site. Wither way, after all this time waiting, nothing gets installed.
4. Some people got it running, and made rude comments about how other people are idiots for not being able to do it. The instructions for installing this game are unclear, and if somebody doesn't know how to do it, there is no reason not to explain.
So here is what I did to get it working. I do not know exactly what part of these tactics I used to get it running. This is just a description of what I did.
1. For the people that claimed they got no errors, I'm not sure what OS they were using. I, in fact, was using XP-SP3. It could be a possibility that it affected only people with this OS.
2. Before doing anything, I went to add/remove programs, and uninstalled Microsoft C++ 2005. I don't know what it is, or how it got there. I believe it gets installed when you install Bioshock.
3. I opened the MDF file with PowerISO, and extracted all the files into a folder.
4. Then I went to the microsoft website where you download the latest version of Microsoft C++ 2005. Once I downloaded the "vcredist_x86.exe" file, I placed it into the "vs redist" folder replacing the original one. (The folder is part of the exracted files.)
5. I then used PowerIso to create a brand new ISO file containing all the files that were extracted inc
Can somebody tell me if this is English dubbed? Or is it Japanese with English subs only?
Please let us know. Thanks.
I'm looking for English dubbed version.
WARNING: THIS DVD IS IN RUSSIAN!
It took me forever to download this POS, and it isn't even in English. It's a complete Russian version of Lain DVD series. This sucks big time unless you're Russian. If anybody knows where I can find the English DVD Series for Lain, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for the advice. I got rid of this. After a few days, it said it could no longer run updates, and this version is expired or something. Either way, I'm no longer using Avira. I would recommend staying far away from this torrent.
I agree. Why make it a daa? I use poweriso, and it is fine, but what is the point of making it daa? I remember 2 years ago, I didn't know how to work daa files, and could not get this game working. I ended up buying it at the store. It was the only game I ever bought in the past 8 years. I've never purchased a game or paid for any online game at all other than making money in SL which made me a couple of hundred dollars.
WHAT A PAIN. It's a good torrent as long as you use the password: gfx.
I found it on one of the sites.
It will arrive in 4 parts. Use WinRAR on the part 1 to extract to a folder. It will combine all 4 of them, and extract them into a single item.
