Yo, my flashlight doesn't work. It makes minimal light and the light is purple/black checkerboardish. Also the game starts to UBER lag in the second chapter This Vortal Coil when the Vortigaunts fix Alyx up and the Gman shows up. Instead of the Gman scene taking like one minute it took like 5 because my fps was like 0.5. :( Does anybody else have these problems???
this torrent is **** ! a lot of textures are missing. Alyx's computers are invisible, boxes are invisible, health and suit stations are invisible, cars are invisible, and Resistance fighters are invisible. Also the game crashes in random places. I was only able to play half of level one, none of level two, 3/4 of level three, a half of level four and part of level 5. They all crash randomly and I have had to load maps manually via the console, and sometimes that doesn't work as well. It always says Microsoft C++ Runtime error. This program has asked to terminate in an unusual way. Press OK to exit this program. It crashes during loading and when there are energy bridges or something explodes. Maybe it's just my computer, but I've downloaded other torrents that have all the textures and work fine. Get a different torrent!
Help! My computer freezes in the first level (undue alarm) in the citadel when the combine come running out on the transparent blue bridge. when the first shot is fired the shot sound repeats itself like 10 times and then a message comes up and says "hl2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience." Okay I'll admit that my computer sucks like crap (PIII 863 mhz 512 mb ram and geforce 2 pro) but i somehow managed to get portal running with very little lag, which needs a 1.7 Ghz PIV and a like geforce 6 or something. this is a lot more than hl2ep1's requirements, which is a 1.2 ghz with a geforce 4 or similar. please help me if you can! thanks.
