any virus notices- Sometimes in the keygens there will be a string of code which is similar or has the same properties as a virus. so an anti vir may think it is a virus, when its not, its a program just using the same line.
Downloaded
Converted .NRG to .ISO as magic disk couldnt read it
Installs.
pastes the patch (not making a back of up originals before hand guessing that if it doesnt work now i will have to change my approach completely anyways)
Game shows the error as previously said above.
either an abnormal process execution or it demanding opengl 1.3
Both horse crap messages.
Crack on disk does not work.

Very slow download rate... 26/12/08 ...2 hours since i started to dload, and iv been at 3kbs-10kbs....topping 20kbs for a minute or two, been dloading this for a 2 weeks.. (16th-17th) cant remember..27.4%...=[
puzzle i got stuck on was the fuse box...Normal difficulty the pattern goes in X X I ..thats how the wires should wire up...but now that i tabbed out to take a look at how the **** you do this
(the only clue in game for this puzzle was "Please remember to record the game for me - XXI" ...makes no sense does it ? ...no your stupid too just like me XXI duh ?...*sigh*)
finding the answer...and well thats about it.
Dont do the same as i did ...please '=.=..to give you a measurement on how far i got sent back, just imagine from there (hotel/silenthill) to the beginning of the graveyard scene...a long time.

This is basically the game in a .rar file so extract it.
extract eng.zip while your at it, these contain the process strings for english lettering.
go into
Silent Hill - Homecomingsilent hill homecomingEnginegameinfostrings
Paste all those english strings which were in Eng.zip into the string folder with the rest of the strings...over write them all
this has made the game english.
Game runs perfectley
Graphics may look a lil bad.
But its great, the movement system is way updated, combat system is great and sound and eerieness is off the charts.
And note...Were back to checkpoints, there is no longer a constant save option allowed like on other pc based silent hill games, its all checkpoints mhuhaha

But please take note, fallout3 for the PC so far is very unstable, a lot of systems have a problems, many to do with sound execution, texture generation and just practical engine instability or incompatibility.
Really, Fallout3 so far is unstable, and may crash and lockup/freeze very often.
If you are willing to risk this, save often, and run the game windowed
I myself cannot play the game without crashing at several points (Usually upon sounds activating)
Digressing that.
Cures for the problems are, ineffective (on my end), waiting for Bethesda to unleash an official patch (larger than the current one, date, currently 20/12/08))
There is a patch specifically for this release which will patch pretty much the same way as this release extracts itself, it may work on some systems and fix any problems, it did not for me.
There is also some 'plaster' like cures for the sound problems, but they have not worked for me either.

On most systems, there is severe sound problems, ranging from sound looping over and over
to sound not even playing at all...There is a patch for minor problems, but the major ones, can really just ruin the entire game.
Yeah and the menus suck ass, but you can get around that, and there is no mouse support like in SH3.
Konami really should pay attention to its PC Releases =/
You cant run HL -w windowed, you have to do that ingame, plus the mouse **** s up often. but anyways..
And ...even if you wanted to...It doesnt start up .well on my system it doesnt

Dload speed for me from Pirate bay was 500kb/s didnt drop down one bit.
Inform later if it works.
