This is not a virus, Roxio products are detected by my security suite because their install registers a run once startup program and then does some hidden data sending when you start it up. Most big retail programs have hidden data sending and Roxio just hasn't updated their installation process for the better yet. I got the same "generic trojan activity" warnings when installing real Roxio software. Everything worked fine for me.
Complaining about it taking 4 days to download 4.2 gig? I remember back when I started and it took 4 days to download a 5 minute video clip. You should be happy this is even possible. :)
I agree, not only is it nearly impossible to get a virus from an AVI file, there are very often settings in the codecs that allow the user to specify the final file size. So when converting the video into AVI they probably said to make them all 350Mb. Nothing really fishy, but if you feel that way you can always buy the DVDs. As long as they are not released by Sony then you are not going to get a virus from them :)
