yes i installed update 5 v-1.0.0.8 onto this version that i downloaded... rickyrb idk how to fix ur problem it just works for me... do u have a good computer? can it even run hl2 games?

OMG I GOT IT TO WORK....
1.download and extract files with WinRar
2.run Autorun.exe and click install
3.download the comprehensive update 5 v1.0.0.8.exe from here: http://isohunt.com/torrents/?ihq=team+fortress+2
4. run the update after u've dled it and extract to your tf2 folder
5.go into that folder and run tf2.exe the game should boot without any trouble (it did for me)
6.type in console 'connect serverip'

it has levels 1-19 but for challenge levels (which are the same levels as the missions only u have to complete them with the fewest portals,steps,etc.) it has 13-19 but i think it is supposed to have only those levels but yeah for single player it has all the levels

im pretty sure that a serial number off a purchased copy of the game can only be used 2 or 3 times

so w8.... if u dont install it correctly it will erase all data? and u will not be able to reinstall it? and why do u need an internet connection for the installation?
